A Beautiful Wedding at Prestwold Hall

Here are some highlights from an amazing Spring day at the magnificent Prestwood Hall with Ollie and Abby in May!

This wedding was extra-special for me because Ollie is the son of my very good friend, Paul who is also a wedding photographer. Understandable that Paul wanted to relax and enjoy his son’s wedding rather than being behind the camera and the fact that the family asked me to be their wedding photographer, was an honour, as you can imagine.

My day began with bridal prep in the stunning suite, amongst the excitement on champagne cork popping! I love to capture the excitement building with time to nip downstairs and capture the groom arriving, building up to the ceremony. The gardens at Prestwold were in spring bloom; the alliums providing a colourful foreground against the venue.

The Ceremony

One of the highlights of the morning was dad’s first look - the first time that dad saw his beautiful daughter, in her wedding dress. Wiping tears from eyes is never mandatory but often happens, just like today!

I loved capturing this ceremony; there was so much laughter and fun and it was lovely to be able to photograph those candid moments after the ceremony as Olle & Abby took there first steps as husband and wife though the beautiful orangery and then into the reception room before the stylish confetti moments at the entrance of the hall.

On such a beautiful day, the Prestwold gardens are the perfect setting for celebrating a wedding, with champagne pouring, enjoying the sun and looking forward to a beutoful wedding breakfast. The speeches were absolutely brilliant - funny, emotional and great for me to capture, with the chinking of glasses and rapturous applause.

The Evening…

It’s shame that I can’t show you more from this epic party in the evening but I don’t want to make this post too long! It’s a stunning ballroom and one of the nicest room to photograph the evening party.

Thank you Ollie and Abby for your 5 star reviews!
