A beautiful wedding at Belton Woods Hotel
In July of 2025 I had the absolute pleasure of photographing Daniel and Sophie’s wedding at one of my favourite local wedding venues, Belton Woods Hotel in Grantham Lincolnshire.
I met this absolutely lovely couple at one of the wedding fairs that I attend at Belton Woods Hotel and it’s always a pleasure to attend the fairs, to meet new couples and see the lovely staff at the venue.
Daniel and Sophie’s wedding was all in the one place, meaning that the bridal and groom prep, the ceremony and the reception were all at the hotel, which makes for a travel-related, stress-free day for the couple!
The ceremony was beautiful in The Hawthorn Suite followed by confetti on the red carpet at the front of the hotel. A lovely moment of celebration and an impromptu kiss from the newlyweds made for meaningful moments to capture.
As you’d expect, the hotel boats some lovely outdoor spaces and backdrops, perfect for those all-important family group photographs and I chose a spot with a leafy backdrop which made for classy group photographs.
It’s not called Belton WOODS for nothing! We took a stroll after the wedding breakfast into the winding woodland paths and we were joined by the otherwise-absent low, golden sun! Absolute perfect timing for the sun to show up! It doesn’t always happen like that, but when it does, it’s perfect!
Speaking of the wedding breakfast, it was a brilliant entrance into the room, in front of their adoring guests with napkins waving and a great atmosphere.
The evening reception, as you can see from the photographs was a blast! Check out those dance floor moves! I do like to stay later than some other photographers so that I can fill my memory card with dance floor shapes!
