Grange Barn Morton Wedding Photography
A Beautiful Christian Wedding at The Grange Barn, Morton
I had the absolute honour of photographing the very special wedding of Lucas and Jasmine…
I first met this wonderful couple at a wedding fair and it became apparent that we had something very important in common when Jasmine walked up to my stand with a shirt displaying the christian symbol: The Cross. We didn’t talk about their upcoming wedding plans or photography at first because we talked about our faith in Jesus Messiah and The Bible. For anyone not sure what I mean by this, you could look up John 14:6.
Eventually, the conversation did turn towards the wedding and Lucas and Jasmine had found the perfect venue for them, namely The Grange Barn, Morton. More about the venue later.
My day started with bridal preparations when Jasmine, and her bridal party began with breakfast and a Bible reading from the book of Proverbs. I had plenty of time to photograph the details, such as the stunning dress, Jasmine’s bespoke-made wedding shoes and very cool florals.
The wedding ceremony was to be held at the quite magnificent village church, St Andrew’s at the village of Helpringham in Lincolnshire.
This was a day that was excitedly and joyfully anticipated by the bride and the groom. The looks on Jasmine’s’ face when she walked up the aisle with her dad, and then when her eyes met with Lucas for the first time that day, told that story of joyful anticipation.
The hymns and songs were sung meaningfully and sounded beautiful in the glorious church building and Jasmine’s dad gave a message about marriage and its meaning to christian couples.
There was some lovely light coming through the window just after the signing of the register and as Lucas and Jasmine walked down the aisle, I was told in advance that they’re would be a mid-exist ‘dip’ which looks so exciting and a traditional touch. A moment not to be missed of course!
Once outside, I moved onto the periphery so that the wedding guests, family and friends could congratulate the newlyweds. This makes for lovely, natural photographs which we all know, make for really meaningful moments.
While the wedding guests took themselves off to The Grange Barn for the wedding reception, Lucas, Jasmine and myself took the opportunity for a few portraits at the church grounds and then off we went to join the others.
The choice of Mustang for the wedding car provided a classy and classic feel to the day and to the photographs.
I took some family and friends group photographs and then set to work on capturing lots of candid moments of guests enjoying the day.
After the lovely speeches, in the marquee, it was time for food and drinks to rest and recharge for the evening celebrations!
A sparkler tunnel for the bride and groom followed by an absolutely epic night on the dance floor - when those moves are popping like this, you can find me in the thick of it, capturing it all. I love these photographs because they provide such dynamism, movement and the joy of the party.
Ninety-five percent of what I do on the day is to capture the natural events of your day: the laughter, the tears, the hugs, the kisses and people having a great time. That’s not all that I do though because I do like to find a moment for some special bride and groom portraits and when we get some colour in the sky, I do like to make the most of that.
Well, that’s the story of this special day. Truly memorable and extremely meaningful for me. Thank you Lucas and Jasmine.
