A Surprise Wedding Proposal at Belvoir Castle

When Matt contacted me and told me about his plans for his surprise wedding proposal to Bec, I was immediately excited to be a part of it. Belvoir Castle you say? I’m in!

Prior to the day of the proposal, Matt and I met at the castle to formulate a plan for how we could set up for ‘popping the question’ and not give the game away to Bec about what was really going to happen!

With the help Ruth and Bernie at the castle (who were wonderful!), we decided on the famous Elizabeth Saloon for the magical moment.

So as to not give the game away to Bec, we decided that I would appear to be taking photographs of the ornaments in the saloon, minding my own business, and then...

Matt, got down on one knee, and Bec said YES!

A wonderful and memorable moment to capture!

Of course, we made use of the incredible castle and its wonderful gardens for an engagement photoshoot too!

The incredibly opulent Elizabeth Saloon was the perfect place for the big question!

Will you marry me? ‘YES’! Was the answer.

After such a magical proposal moment, a few portraits in the grand opulence of The Elizabeth Saloon and then we took a walk onto the magnificent staircase and the nearby wedding ceremony room.
